Long

LaTrena Mitchell writes from Marvell, Arkansas, in the Mississippi Delta: novels that treat investigation as intimacy, poems that hold twenty years of love and damage, and screen work for the cut. She is CEO of LSMLLC. On August 4, 2026 she completed Introduction to Public Relations, an online course authorized by Microsoft and offered through Coursera. She interned in public relations with celebrity fashion designer Prashant Goyal at New York Fashion Week, was PR at the SXSW Music and Film Festival in March 2026, PR at Coming Back to Where I’m From — the Marvell Community Festival, Class of 2000 — and is a senior panelist for the MLC Awards and Scene Awards in Green Bay, sister film galas founded by Freddy Moyano. She is not the founder, co-chair, or PR for those awards.
